Clearing the path to lower cholesterol

Do you have, or are you at high risk for, cardiovascular  disease (CVD), also known as heart disease?

Are you not responding well enough to statin medications?

If so, you may be able to take part in the CLEAR Outcomes Study.

This study is looking at an investigational medication for participants with, or at risk for, CVD, who are also statin intolerant. Approximately 12,000 people will take part in this study to help doctors determine whether the investigational medication can help to reduce the occurrence of major CVD events, such as heart attacks and strokes. The study will also look at how safe the investigational medication is.

Would you like to take part?

You may be able to take part in the CLEAR Outcomes Study if you:

• are at least 18 years of age, or the age considered an adult in your country, whichever is older, up to 85 years of age
• have a history of, or are at high risk for, CVD
• are statin intolerant (have not been able to tolerate one or more statins).

The study will last approximately 3.75 years and will require visits to the study centre  and telephone calls with the study team. 

All study-related medication and assessments will be provided at no cost.
