Dr Mike Williams is a Primary Care Physician in Rotorua since 1997. He completed his post graduate training at Rotorua Hospital and elected to stay locally.
He established Hinemoa House Medical Centre which has recently amalgamated with another practice to become Ruatahi Medical Centre. He has an active interest in metabolic medicine and clinical governance and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PHO.
He has a passion for both Primary Care and Clinical Research and has shown how these can be integrated to form a successful research business.
He leads LCT with a “hands on” approach and is now applying this philosophy into the development of a clinical network.
As an experienced manager of people, contracts, administration and project management within the healthcare industry, Philippa facilitates a key role within Lakeland Clinical Trials and affiliated groups. Philippa has a ‘from scratch’ approach to her work. Attributed to this is her instrumental role in the establishment of three clinics, from conception through to legal compliance and operations.
Philippa on a day-to-day basis, has a hands-on role, ensuring administration compliance, patient communication, advisory functions and quality assurance requirements are meet to a high standard.
Philippa forged her early career in allied health as a physiotherapist, then taking a natural progression into business operations. Her experience spans the public and private sector, with her first taste in the clinical management field working in neuro-paediatrics and cardiorespiratory units, to be then be appointed into Unit Manger and Professional Advisor roles.
Having raised a family, whilst balancing the demands of a busy career, you will find Philippa is a strategic thinker, highly organised, with a high EQ.
Karen is a registered nurse working in General Practice in Rotorua since 1989.
Working in the office at a large supermarket for 3 years then she transferred the skills of this high pressure environment to clinical research.
Deidre came to nursing later in life. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2011 and then further training with Post Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences in 2015.
Dr Dean trained in Auckland with his post graduate experience in Rotorua Hospital.
